Since the holidays (and since no requests came up), I've had a bit of a funk.  I'm dissatisfied with the more academic university studies I'm currently pursuing, and thus definitely want to take another crack at going to a more dedicated art technical school, particularly for animation and by extension, other forms of sequential art.

The thing I mentioned over the holidays about forms is still true, and thus I will continue to work on that, as I have at an accelerating pace, both to build my portfolio to put in a good bid for animation studies, and to improve my art in general.

Here's the thing: After 12 years, DA is just NOT my primary art site anymore.
Both Instagram and Tumblr have far exceeded my devianart in terms of content and regularity of posting.

There are a few reasons for this:
1) Convenience
On Instagram in particular, I can pretty much take a picture of whatever I'm working on and post it immediately.  Deviantart doesn't have that distinction.  Also, anything I post on Instagram I can also immediately cross-post onto my other social networks-this to an extent is true of Tumblr as well.  On Deviantart, any cross-posting I do has to be done manually, and even then I often have to adjust things like tags after initially making the post.

2) Audience
You folks here on Deviantart are great, but as the holidays showed, you're not very vocal.  Feedback on my other social networks I can see more or less immediately, and even though it's not huge I still get more feedback elsewhere than I do here; probably because my audience finds Tumblr and Instagram more convenient than Deviantart as well.

3) Time
Probably the biggest reason of all.  This does tie into both convenience and audience above, but the fact is that I can only manage so many different platforms so quickly, and Deviantart takes a significant amount of time for me to manage!

Now, as a consequence of these things, my Deviantart account is not and no longer will be the main focal point of my artistic endeavours online.  Having said that...

New artwork will still be posted here.  Just not all of it, and not all the time.

If you're following me  here on DA, you'll still catch wind of my bigger projects, just not as often.

For quicker updates, follow my Tumblr ( ), or my Instagram ( ).  You'll get more art from me sooner that way.

See you around, gang!

PS. I have a Rick and Morty fan universe in the works and if you're following me in the above social networks, you already know about it!  Rick and Morty C-007!  100 years! :XD:
